Neon Indian – “Fallout”
1 08 2011
Neon Indian lit up the summer of 2009 on the back of Atari glitches and woozy electro effects that comprised his debut, Psychic Chasms. Not letting his presence be a one-time summer rendezvous, the man otherwise known as Alan Palomo is prepping the release of his sophomore effort, Era Extraña, with the fuzzed-out lead single, “Fallout.” The new song sees Palomo siphoning more hazy, post-80s synth freakouts that made his debut all the more captivating. His vocals are barely audible; however, that’s the lesser point with any Neon Indian track, as the grand sounds he so effortlessly conjures always makes as the better take-away.
Era Extraña drops September 13 for those looking to continue channeling their psychic chasms into 2011. Stream the track for now and then trade in an email address for the mp3.
