Baylor, at 612 E. Lamar Blvd. in Dallas, was a narrow winner over Texas Health Resources of Arlington. THR finished with $3.17 billion to gain the runner-up position.

While the national economy may be down and national unemployment up, there are still plenty of affluent communities in the country, and several Dallas-Fort Worth area cities are among them. On Numbers looked at median household income in the 14,214 places with 1,000 or more residents as reported by the U.S. Census Bureau. Southlake was the highest ranked city in the area hitting No. 51 in America with a median household income of $181,930.
