DNA – TRACES of DNA

DNA – TRACES of DNA

I recently previewed a small collection of tunes from an up and coming rapper in Dallas Triple D.  The sound is so nice I want to share it with my friends. Enjoy!

Dip -Dallas Bounce / Boogie Song  Low on metaphors, heavy on swagg.  Perfect for you dumb niggas and bitches. Ain’t nothing wrong with having a good time though, so pop a bean and swag surf to this shit.

In God I Trust – G-Shit. Beat and Rhymes. Who Got a Lighter?  Could be more energetic or gangster, but does the beat justice.  His flow gets you singing the chorus.

American Genius Hood Talk with a MESSAGE!!!!!  Your hustle is your brilliance.  DNA reminds you to never forget that. This is the best shit I’ve heard all week.  Preach.  This that Jay Z “Can I Live” type shit.

I Wanna Be New Classic Soul Shit This is that throwback.  Kind of Nice.  Could use a Curren$y / Zillaman like guest appearance to make it a standout track as well.  Great Production.  Some of the best I’ve heard from Dalla

Work It Out Lil Mama Can You Work It Out Back to the Boogie.

DNA is The Artist . DJ Flipp is the DJ.  Tone Hall is the Man. Making Moves in the Triple D. Story to Be Continued…

De La Soul – “Patti Dooke”

via The Smoking Section by Gotty™ on 6/29/10

Taking the circuitous route, I just finished reading Fred Wesley’s autobio, Hit Me Fred so that may partially be the reason “Patti Dooke” is making an appearance. Amazing when you think that De La managed to grab some masterful musicians to join them for tracks on Buhloone Mindstate. And then there’s the “the voice,” making an appearance on the chorus. *sigh*
Also makes me realize that it did blow up and indeed went pop.
De La Soul Feat. Guru, Maceo Parker, Fred Wesley and Pee Wee Ellis – “Patti Dooke”
While Googling earlier, I ran across a pretty dope find but haven’t had a chance to listen just yet. De La backed by the Rhythm Roots All-Stars. Live @ this year’s Coachella festival and recorded directly from the soundboard. Obtain it from All The Way Live. In fact, just snoop around there. Thank me later.
