Wreckamic- God of Flow Vol. 2

Wreckamic is back (yeah I know, late pass. Kiss my ass, critic.) with another volume of God of Flow brought to us by the legendary DJ Hitman. Denton’s own is still in a zone, spitting way too many lyrics for you dumb muthafuckas to follow (but you can still try).  This mixtape is 22 songs full of flow.
Wreck always tries to give the people what they want.  His fans know what to expect from the man, and he doesn’t disappoint.  The tape leads with a few singles and remixes from the God of Flow Vol. 1, like “Crickets” and “The Loot”, but there’s more than enough new material included.  On track 6, “Roc the World”, Wreck rides the beat perfectly, lyrically smashing most of these other rappers into itty bitty pieces of dust. They can’t keep up lyrically, and Wreck knows this man, never letting up, bar after bar after bar to the dome.  His remix of B.O.B’s “Airplanes” is a solid cover as well.  The Hitman turns up the heat on the second half of the mixtape, going right for the juggular before transitioning into the more radio friendly tracks on this set.  If there is one song that you must hear from this collection, its track 16, “Bullshit”, where Wreck takes the current political climate and breaks it down while at the same time breaking whatever mold you might have had him in.  For the first time that I can say, Wreck gets political, even talking to you over the track, a rarity for the man of 1000 metaphors.  His version of “Beamers, Benz, or Bentley” called “BBB” is Texas slow and goes harder than 99.9% of the other remixes you might have heard.  If there is a misstep on this collection, then its the beat selection, quite possibly an attempt to tap into the clubs. But even his version of “Wasted” featuring Giovanni comes off better than the original, so in the end, you’re not that mad you sat through a Plies beat (plus its not like Wreck is gonna run out of hot lines for the original beats, yamean!).  “Red Banana” is one of those long overdue songs that attacks the insipid gangsterism in the rap game and the new generation of rap fans, where Wreckamic states the obvious, that the only true Piru’s are in LA, because that’s where Piru Street is after all.  I mean it can’t be that many Bloods all of a sudden right? Lil Wayne effect? I think so.  Wreck breaks it down for you.
God of Flow 2 is business as usual.  If you still doubting the abilities of this guy lyrically, its a big chance you’re trying extra hard to be greedy with them props.  Stop hating. Give up the jewels. Bow down. God of Flow is in the building.

via C’est La Vie by Jonathan Elosegui on 11/29/10

Tokyo is all about fashion, originality, no boundaries, and trend setting styles that can be found in its massive city sidewalks full of people. Adidas Original Japan wanted to capture that exact fashion essence in their new Fall/Winter 2010 look-book by using actual girls from the Tokyo streets Adidas used loud colors, polk-a-dots, and vibrant clothing for the fun filled project. If you admire people’s ability to mix and match and stand out in a city of millions then you will love this project. The women’s collection arrives at all adidas Originals retail locations, including  the 4 concept stores in the greater Tokyo area.
